NotedSuite builds lightweight, native apps for Mac. We believe your data is yours. This policy explains what our apps and this website do — and do not — collect.

What we collect

Our apps. NotedSuite apps run entirely on your own device. Your content stays on your Mac — we do not collect, transmit, store, or sell any of your data, and the apps do not send your information to us or to any third party, except as described for each app below.

You choose where your files are saved. If you save them to a location that you have set up to sync with a cloud service (such as iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive), that syncing is handled entirely by that service under its own privacy terms. NotedSuite has no access to, control over, or visibility into that process.

This website. This site is a static page hosted on Cloudflare. It does not use tracking cookies or advertising. Cloudflare may collect basic, anonymized request logs (such as approximate region and browser type) for security and performance.

Quality.Noted

Quality.Noted has no analytics, tracking or advertising.

License. When you activate a license, Quality.Noted sends your license key and your Mac's name to Polar, the merchant of record that sells it, so the key can be checked and the Mac counted toward its activation limit. At launch, at most once a day, it re-checks the key with Polar. Nothing else is sent to Polar. Polar's own privacy policy covers your purchase: https://polar.sh/legal/privacy-policy

Updates. Release builds check for updates with Sparkle, which downloads an update list (and, when you update, the new version) from GitHub. That request carries your IP address and the app and macOS versions, as any download does; nothing about you or your code. Turn automatic checks off in Settings ▸ General ▸ Software Updates.

Your project. Quality.Noted reads the project folder you choose on your Mac and saves results in that project's QualityNoted-QA folder. It never sends your project to NotedSuite or Polar.

Claude Code. The audits are run by Claude Code, under your own Claude account. Claude Code sends what it reads from your project to Anthropic under Anthropic's terms and privacy policy, including anything you type into the setup, such as test account details.

Report an Issue. Help ▸ Report an Issue… opens an email in your own mail app. Nothing is sent until you send it, and it includes version details (Quality.Noted, macOS, Claude Code, Apple silicon) only if you tick the box. It never includes project paths, code, findings, logs or test accounts.

On your Mac. Settings and the license record are stored in the app's preferences; the license key and any test account details are stored in your Keychain.

Analytics & third parties

We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral tracking.

Children

Our apps are not directed at children under 13 and do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the apps evolve. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
